Everyone was completely engrossed in what you had to say. I think everyone, including myself, learnt a lot…. Keep up your amazing (hands on) work in Cambodia 🙂 Oh and keep us posted in what your up to out here… Would be great to see more of what your doing! Goethe-Institut Toronto Next week Canadian cyclist Steven Sumner, who lost one leg in a traffic accident, will be present at the screening of Matthias Emcke’s German film “PHANTOM PAIN,” starring Til Schweiger at the German Cambodian Cultural Center. The film premiered at TIFF 2009 and we had Matthias Emcke here at the Goethe-Institut Toronto for a Director’s Talk. The film is a tribute to Sumner, who is currently riding around Cambodia on his bicycle delivering mirror therapy to amputees. Great work Steven! Keen to do something on you and your work and have some questions to ask….. Luke … Dear Stephen, We just spoke on the phone, like I said I work for AFP news agency, which along with Reuters and AP is one the world’s largest global news agencies, and I’d be interested to hear more about your mirror project in Cambodia with the possibility of doing a story. We can talk more at Meta House but the idea would be to cover some of your background, how you got to this point of coming to Asia to hand out these mirrors, and then ideally we’d like to be present when you share your mirror technique with Cambodian amputees and then we’d like to get their reactions. I’ll see you around 6pm at Meta House, my numbers are below just in case. Best, Michelle Kim Sonya Jan 20 Hi Emily,...
