That’s an ‘external fixator’ she’s got on her leg, so it goes right through her skin and into the bone. According to her chart she’s been there for many months.
She would more than likely be dead or certainly in grievous condition if it weren’t for the HANDA EMERGENCY HOSPITAL in Battambang. She’s gonna be alright.
