I’m the man in the mirror

By on Feb 25, 2013 in Outreach

If you enjoyed the read, please feel free to share it I’m the man in the mirror, baby. I’m the man WITH the mirrors too. A stutter-start here in Phnom Penh cuz I went and got sick. But now, believe me, just don’t get in my way! It’s soooo all good. Cambodians are a super-receptive people, and if you show a little love and have a good heart they reciprocate and then some on da spot. Big Good Meetings with the ICRC, and, today, and brilliantly, The HANDA FOUNDATION. They are a Japanese philanthropic org who’ve (despite the troubles in Japan) been busy buying up hospitals and clinics in The Kingdom in order to make them a lot better. Enter the mirror guy. Now I’m the only bespoke mirror therapist in all of Cambodia and a member of the CPTA (Cambodian Physical Therapy Association).. Don’t mean squat except that they are all really good people and jamming doors open for me alllllll over the Kingdom. A happy man, here. So all this ultimately gets me up to Battambang by Thursday and after my hoop-dancing on Thursday I’m free to load up the ‘UTE’ and hit the villages. So it’s a perfect 1 – 2 – 3 knockout punch against Phantom Pain. I give you both the mirror and a little (got 200 units, now) cute self-backing hook to stick onback of the mirror – so you can hang it up (Thanks Billy!!!). You can hang it up once you have done your 5 week treatment and then the whole village can do their evening toilette on your porch!!! Such a deal! I’m joking but not. Got the hooks and certainly got the mirrors……. and, for sure, last year I was in many villages that couldn’t...
